Frank Coulson M. Ed.

Frank Coulson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. His under graduate work was in Bible at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago , IL. His M. Ed. in Counseling was done at University of Texas at Brownville. He has been working about 16 years as a counselor. His work as a counselor has been in a University setting in Brownsville, TX as well as a Community Social service agency in the San Antonio, TX area. Most recently he has been serving clients throughout Texas to overcome mental health issues using online platforms. He has also been for the same time frame a college professor teaching college success and psychology. Over the years he has worked with teens up to senior adults and couples on a wide array of issues such as: anxiety, depression, adhd, ptsd/childhood trauma, vocational concerns, seeking purpose in their lives. His theoretical viewpoint in counseling is eclectic but primarily focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy, therapeutic arts, and recent research tools in positive psychology and trauma research. His philosophy relates to his Christian worldview. His belief is that people have inner personal strengths and resources given to them by God, that can help them move from problems to possibilities and potential. He has been grateful for the opportunity to be trusted by clients to help them in their growth journey of overcoming difficulties in their lives and move on to flourishing. He seeks to help people overcome problems and move beyond being stuck to what he calls, living a more than ok life. All people are purposed on this Earth to live lives that thrive not just survive. When experiencing problems such as depression, anxiety or other problems it is easy to feel as if you are not even surviving. That is where counseling can help you move to thriving. His goal is to come alongside and provide a client with tools to reach their personal goals and overcome problems.
