Brittany Szilagyi, clinical intern at Light Counseling

Brittany Szilagyi, Clinical Intern

Brittany is currently a counseling intern and anticipates graduating in Spring 2027 with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Following graduation, she plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Brittany holds a degree in nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) from Daytona State College, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Liberty University. Brittany has experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and older adults. Her approach to counseling is grounded in multicultural and attachment frameworks, incorporating experiential techniques, creative arts, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) interventions. With a strong passion for advocacy and equality, Brittany believes in the importance of continued growth and the potential for everyone to become a better version of themselves. As a future LPC, she hopes to come alongside her clients, offering support and encouragement as they work toward personal growth and positive change. Outside of work, Brittany enjoys pottery, 3D printing, writing poetry and books, reading, and painting and sketching. She believes that learning and growing should be lifelong pursuits and strives to maintain an open mind when exploring new experiences.
