Emily Abban, MA, Resident in Counseling
My name is Emily Abban, a resident therapist. I have a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Ghana and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg. I have experience working with children and adults in an intensive in-home setting. I have assisted these age groups with anxiety, depression, autism, sense of loss/hopelessness, life transitions, self-esteem issues, trauma, and more. I continue to work in diverse ways to meet the needs of my client.
I provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment for growth and healing through collaborative dialogue and meet clients where they are. I believe that everyone is unique and has the God-given ability to thrive. Originally hailing from Ghana, I take pleasure in nurturing clients from diverse backgrounds. When I am not working as a minister’s wife, I work alongside my husband to care for the people of God.
